The candidate will have to plan, direct and manage the technical and administrative staff of the Branch and oversee the on-going projects.

He will be in charge of:

• Plans, manages and directs the daily activities of staff;
• screens and assigns workload;
• plans, prioritizes and assigns tasks and projects;
• monitors work, develops staff skills, and evaluates performance.
• Reviews and evaluates daily operations and activities, and recommends improvements and modifications;
• plans, schedules, and prioritizes Engineering Branch activities and projects to assure accomplishment of goals and objectives.
• Reviews the work of assigned staff to assure the work quality and timely accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities;
• assures compliance with all operational rules and regulations.
• Provides leadership, direction and guidance in technical strategies and procedures;
• assures effective communication of strategies and issues.
• Reviews and analyzes work methods and products, and directs continuous effort to improve operations, work processes, increase effectiveness and reduce risk.
• Develops, coordinates, reviews, and revises technical documents, policy, guidelines, and plans for the management of projects and programs.
• Coordinates budget and contract preparation and administration;
• prepares cost estimates for budget recommendations;
• prepares cost estimates for projects;
• monitors and controls contracts and expenditures.
• Interprets and explains county and department rules and regulations.
• Collects financial and administrative information, compiles data for reports and adjusts resources as necessary.

Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, mandatory previous experience in the area, and 10-15 years of experience in engineering field.

English fluent.
